As the Director of Design and Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing all design and construction projects for our company nationwide.   1. Oversee all design and construction projects for the company nationwide.
  2. Develop and implement design and construction strategies to meet company objectives.
  3. Manage and coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  4. Create and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed within allocated resources.
  5. Review and approve all design and construction plans, ensuring they meet company standards and regulations.
  6. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify any potential issues.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of design and construction plans with overall company goals.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of design and construction processes.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design and construction to continuously improve company projects.
  10. Mentor and guide team members to ensure their professional growth and development.
  11. Communicate project updates and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
  12. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during design and construction projects.
  13. Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners.
  14. Negotiate contracts and agreements with external partners to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project delivery.
  15. Represent the company in design and construction-related meetings and events.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Design And Construction Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Design And Construction Management, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Completing Large-Scale Projects Within Budget And On Time.

  • Strong Technical Knowledge: The Director Of Design And Construction Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Construction Processes, Building Codes And Regulations, And Industry Best Practices. They Should Also Be Proficient In Using Design Software And Project Management Tools.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Designers, Architects, Engineers, And Contractors. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Internal Stakeholders And External Partners.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Director Of Design And Construction Must Have A Strong Strategic Mindset And The Ability To Think Critically To Identify And Address Potential Issues And Risks In Projects. They Should Also Be Able To Develop Creative Solutions To Complex Problems.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Architecture, Engineering, Or Construction Management: A Degree In A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role To Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Design And Construction Principles. A Master's Degree May Be Preferred For More Senior Positions.
