
Linux System Administrator
Develop system architecture and make recommendations based on needs and industry developments. Configure, patch, and maintain servers based on configuration management (Ansible) and change management best practices. Create and maintain basic system scripts (Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.) to facilitate automation and scalability. Innovate by investigating, testing, and implementing technological solutions and processes to support research (e.g. Apache Spark, GPU compute, containers). Assist in shaping IP address management plan (IPv4 and IPv6) including allocations, and configuration. Engage in campus networking community so that SSCC's voice is represented and ensure our initiatives are aligned with those of central campus. Stay current on industry trends and evaluate usefulness to support our mission
2 years Linux/Unix system administration experience
Experience using git or other source control system
Host-based or network firewall administration (PaloAlto, Cisco, etc) knowledge
Experience working with HIPAA protected or other sensitive data
Experience administering Apache and database MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL systems
