Job Description

The Clinical Trials Budget & Contract Analyst is responsible for developing and negotiating budgets, as well as coordinating execution of clinical trial agreements, for industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical research studies conducted by our research teams. Develop accurate, comprehensive, and consistent budgets based on the study protocol, the billing compliance analysis, and UW policies. Convert internal budget to sponsor-required format. Negotiate budgets and payment terms with sponsors. Monitor negotiations to ensure timely completion. Post-negotiation processing- coordinate contract execution, complete budget entry into the OnCore system, and request campus account set-up. Review protocol amendments to determine if a budget or contract amendment is needed, and work with study sponsor to execute the amendment.

Job Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating clinical trial budgets is preferred.

  • Knowledge of rules and regulations relating to clinical trials and clinical trials finance (including billing compliance) preferred.

  • Experience with clinical trials management software (CTMS) preferred.

  • Experience with both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials is preferred.

  • Previous successful experience with remote work is a plus.
