  1. Provide spiritual care and guidance to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Washington.
  2. Facilitate discussions and activities related to spirituality and personal growth.
  3. Support individuals in finding inner peace and balance in their lives.
  4. Foster a non-judgmental and inclusive environment for all members of the university community.
  5. Utilize strong communication skills to effectively connect with and understand the needs of others.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the spiritual care and wellbeing team to develop and implement programs and services.
  7. Stay informed about current research and trends in spirituality and wellbeing to enhance services provided.
  8. Offer individual counseling and support to those seeking guidance on their spiritual journey.
  9. Advocate for diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of spiritual care and wellbeing.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with individuals seeking support.
  11. Support and attend campus events and initiatives related to spiritual care and wellbeing.
  12. Create a nurturing and supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff to explore and develop their spirituality.
  13. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Serve as a resource and referral point for individuals seeking spiritual care and wellbeing services.
  15. Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the University of Washington by promoting holistic wellbeing and personal growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In A Relevant Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Theology, Religious Studies, Psychology, Or Counseling Is Required For This Position. A Master's Degree Or Higher Is Preferred.

  • Experience In Spiritual Care: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Providing Spiritual Care And Support To Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Interfaith Knowledge And Sensitivity: The Role Of A Spiritual Care & Wellbeing Provider Requires An Understanding And Respect For Various Religious And Spiritual Traditions. Candidates Should Possess Knowledge And Sensitivity Towards Different Faiths And Cultures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Position Involves Working Closely With Individuals Who May Be Experiencing Emotional Distress And May Require Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. Candidates Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Both Individuals And Groups.
