- Support and attend campus events and initiatives related to spiritual care and wellbeing.
- Create a nurturing and supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff to explore and develop their spirituality.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a resource and referral point for individuals seeking spiritual care and wellbeing services.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the University of Washington by promoting holistic wellbeing and personal growth.
Degree In A Relevant Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Theology, Religious Studies, Psychology, Or Counseling Is Required For This Position. A Master's Degree Or Higher Is Preferred.
Experience In Spiritual Care: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Providing Spiritual Care And Support To Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.
Interfaith Knowledge And Sensitivity: The Role Of A Spiritual Care & Wellbeing Provider Requires An Understanding And Respect For Various Religious And Spiritual Traditions. Candidates Should Possess Knowledge And Sensitivity Towards Different Faiths And Cultures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Position Involves Working Closely With Individuals Who May Be Experiencing Emotional Distress And May Require Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. Candidates Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Both Individuals And Groups.
