
Associate Director - Patient Relations

- Develop and implement strategies to promote a positive patient experience across all departments and units within the university's healthcare system.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and other stakeholders to identify and address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure compliance with all patient rights and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, through regular audits and training programs.
- Monitor patient satisfaction metrics and identify areas for improvement, working closely with the quality improvement team to implement solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, advocating for patient needs and rights while also addressing any concerns from the provider's perspective.
- Lead and supervise a team of patient relations staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and patient advocacy groups to stay informed about patient needs and concerns.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on patient relations activities, including trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop patient education materials and resources to improve patient understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in patient relations and make recommendations for improvement to senior management.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Patient Relations, Preferably Within A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.
A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Healthcare Administration, Communications, Or Public Relations.
Strong Knowledge Of Patient Rights And Responsibilities, As Well As Federal And State Regulations Related To Patient Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Providers.
Proven Leadership Experience, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Develop Innovative Strategies For Improving Patient Satisfaction And Quality Of Care.
