  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve the usability and user experience of the university's website.
  2. Conduct user research and gather feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure website design and functionality align with user needs and business goals.
  4. Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mock-ups to communicate and test website improvements.
  5. Use best practices and industry standards to design intuitive and user-friendly website layouts, navigation, and features.
  6. Conduct usability testing and analyze user behavior to make data-driven decisions.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current web design trends and technologies to continuously improve website usability.
  8. Work closely with developers to ensure proper implementation and functionality of website features.
  9. Develop and maintain style guides and design standards for the website.
  10. Train and educate team members on web usability principles and best practices.
  11. Continuously monitor and analyze website metrics to track the success of usability improvements.
  12. Collaborate with content creators to ensure website content is organized, easily accessible, and user-friendly.
  13. Troubleshoot and resolve any usability issues that arise on the website.
  14. Act as a champion for user-centric design and advocate for the importance of website usability within the university.
  15. Contribute to the overall digital strategy of the university by providing insights and recommendations for website improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Web Design And Development, With A Focus On User Experience And Usability.

  • Proficiency In Html, Css, And Javascript, As Well As Experience With Web Design Software Such As Adobe Creative Suite Or Sketch.

  • Strong Understanding Of Ux Principles And Best Practices, With The Ability To Conduct User Research And Implement Findings Into Design Decisions.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, As The Position Will Involve Working With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The University Of Utah.
