  1. Provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate and dedicated manner.
  2. Participate in the PS Physician Assistant- Hospitalist Fellowship Program and complete all required training and rotations.
  3. Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in medicine through continuous learning and professional development.
  6. Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest level of patient safety and quality of care.
  8. Manage and prioritize a fast-paced workload, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  9. Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital and legal guidelines.
  10. Serve as a role model for other healthcare professionals and uphold the values and mission of the University of Utah.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and maintain patient privacy at all times.
  12. Demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical and professional standards in healthcare.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and overall hospital performance.
  14. Participate in research projects and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and practices.
  15. Embrace a team-oriented approach and actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Physician Assistant Program: Applicants Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Pa Program And Hold A Valid Pa License In The State Of Utah.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Physician Assistant In A Hospital Setting, Preferably In A Hospitalist Role.

  • Board-Certification: Applicants Should Be Board-Certified Or Board-Eligible As A Physician Assistant By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Role Of A Hospitalist Requires Effective Communication And Collaboration With A Multidisciplinary Team. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills.
