  1. Greet and welcome patients to the University of Utah, creating a positive and welcoming environment for all individuals.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure all patients' nutrition needs are met and incorporated into their overall treatment plan.
  4. Conduct initial nutrition screenings and assessments for patients to determine their specific dietary needs.
  5. Develop individualized nutrition care plans for patients based on their medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and preferences.
  6. Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition care plans as needed.
  7. Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition and how it can impact their overall health and well-being.
  8. Assist with meal planning and preparation, taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  9. Order and stock appropriate food and beverage items for patients, ensuring they have access to a variety of nutritious options.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' nutrition care plans, progress, and any changes made.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and guidelines related to patient nutrition.
  12. Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on the latest nutrition research and best practices.
  13. Continuously strive to improve patient care and satisfaction, seeking feedback and implementing suggestions for improvement.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized and stored.
  15. Work collaboratively with other members of the nutrition care team to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (Cnsc) Or Registered Dietetic Technician (Dtr) Credential.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Interpret Nutrition Care Plans.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
