  1. Assist genetic counselors in providing support and guidance to patients and their families regarding genetic testing and risk assessment.
  2. Collaborate with genetic counselors and other healthcare professionals to gather and analyze patient information and family histories.
  3. Educate patients and families on genetic conditions, inheritance patterns, and potential implications for their health.
  4. Coordinate and schedule genetic testing and follow-up appointments for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
  6. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families during the genetic counseling process.
  7. Conduct literature reviews and research to stay updated on current advancements in genetics and genetic counseling.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and resources for patients and healthcare professionals.
  9. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the genetic counseling program.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the field of genetics and genetic counseling.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and respect for patients and their families.
  12. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Genetics, Or A Related Field.

  • Experience Working In A Clinical Or Research Setting, Preferably In Genetics.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Genetic Information To Patients And Their Families.

  • Knowledge Of Genetic Counseling Principles And Practices, Including Understanding Of Ethical And Legal Considerations.

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Ability To Accurately Document Patient Information.
