- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the University of Utah campus.
- Ensure all areas of the campus, including classrooms, offices, and common spaces, are kept clean and hygienic.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to effectively and safely perform cleaning duties.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular checks and inspections to identify any potential hazards or maintenance issues and report them to the appropriate department.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with other members of the Environmental Services team to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Uphold the University's commitment to environmental sustainability by following green cleaning practices and promoting eco-friendly initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to address any concerns or issues related to environmental services.
- Attend training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to environmental services.

- Continuously strive to improve and maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the campus.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For An Environmental Services Technician At University Of Utah Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Skills In Reading, Writing, And Math That Are Necessary For The Job.
Relevant Experience: Previous Experience In Environmental Services Or A Related Field Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This May Include Experience In Housekeeping, Janitorial Services, Or Waste Management.
Knowledge Of Environmental Safety Regulations: Candidates Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Environmental Safety Regulations And Protocols. This Includes Knowledge Of Proper Handling And Disposal Of Hazardous Waste Materials.
Physical Ability: Environmental Services Technicians May Be Required To Perform Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Lifting Heavy Objects, Standing For Long Periods Of Time, And Operating Cleaning Equipment. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
