- Develop and implement strategic plans for the University of Utah's benefits program, ensuring it aligns with the organization's mission and values.
- Lead and manage a team of benefits professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of benefits to employees.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of all employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Evaluate and analyze current benefits offerings, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments to ensure competitive and comprehensive packages for employees.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, proactively proposing new and innovative benefits initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR, finance, and external partners, to ensure the smooth operation and compliance of the benefits program.
- Manage relationships with benefit vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value and service for the University.
- Communicate and educate employees on all benefits programs, providing resources and support to help them make informed decisions.
- Plan and execute open enrollment and other benefits-related events and communications.
- Monitor and analyze benefits data and metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of the benefits program, making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all benefits-related activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on employee benefits, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
- Serve as a liaison between the University and external benefit providers, representing the organization in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Continuously review and improve processes and procedures related to the benefits program to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Benefits Administration, Preferably In A University Or Large Organization Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Employee Benefits, Such As Erisa, Aca, And Fmla.
Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
Experience With Benefits Program Design And Implementation, Including Health Insurance, Retirement Plans, And Other Employee Benefits Offerings.
