  1. Oversee and manage multiple research projects, ensuring timely completion, compliance with funding agencies, and adherence to university policies and procedures.
  2. Provide guidance and support to researchers in developing and submitting funding proposals, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  3. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring compliance with funding restrictions and identifying potential issues or discrepancies.
  4. Serve as a liaison between researchers and funding agencies, communicating updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
  5. Stay current on regulations and policies related to research administration, and proactively implement changes to ensure compliance.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the university to facilitate interdisciplinary research initiatives.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including funding agencies and industry partners.
  8. Train and mentor junior research administrators, providing guidance and support in navigating complex research projects.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all research activities, including proposals, budgets, and progress reports.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of new research policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Participate in university committees and working groups related to research administration, representing the interests of the department and the university.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality of research administration services.
  13. Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with faculty, staff, and students involved in research activities.
  14. Act as a resource for researchers, providing guidance and support in navigating the complex landscape of research administration.
  15. Uphold the values and standards of the university, promoting a culture of integrity, excellence, and innovation in all research activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: A Senior Research Administrator At Usc Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Field Related To Research Administration, Such As Business, Finance, Or Science.

  • Extensive Experience In Research Administration: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Research Administration, Preferably In A Senior Or Leadership Role. This Experience Should Include Managing Research Budgets, Grant Writing, And Compliance With Funding Regulations.
