- Conduct research on addiction psychology, including designing and implementing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and publishing findings in academic journals.
- Provide individual and group therapy to patients struggling with addiction, utilizing evidence-based practices and tailoring treatment plans to meet the specific needs of each individual.
- Collaborate with other team members and outside organizations to develop and implement programming and interventions for individuals struggling with addiction.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of addiction psychology and integrate this knowledge into practice.
- Work closely with faculty and researchers to support ongoing projects and assist with grant writing and funding opportunities.
- Mentor and supervise graduate students and interns in their work with patients and research projects.
- Educate and train staff and community members on addiction and its impact on individuals and society.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the field of psychology and addiction treatment.
- Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make recommendations for improvement.
A Doctoral Degree (Ph.d. Or Psy.d.) In Psychology From An Accredited Institution.
Licensure Or Eligibility For Licensure As A Psychologist In The State Of California.
Specialized Training Or Experience In Addiction Psychology, Including Assessment And Treatment Of Substance Use Disorders.
Familiarity With Evidence-Based Practices For Addiction Treatment, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy And Motivational Interviewing.
Previous Experience Working With College-Aged Individuals And Knowledge Of The Unique Challenges And Stressors Faced By University Students.
