  1. Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of the pharmacist will be to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to the diverse student population at USC. This includes dispensing medications, counseling patients on proper use and potential side effects, and monitoring for drug interactions.
  2. Uphold the highest standards of pharmacy practice: The pharmacist will be expected to follow all state and federal laws, as well as USC's policies and procedures, in order to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. This includes maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to ethical guidelines.
  3. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently: The pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications and verifying their appropriateness for the patient. They will also need to efficiently manage inventory and ensure medications are stocked and available for patients.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals: The pharmacist will work closely with other healthcare professionals at USC, including physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists, to provide comprehensive care to patients. This may involve consulting on medication therapy and participating in interdisciplinary rounds.
  5. Stay current on industry developments and trends: In order to provide the best possible care, the pharmacist will need to stay informed about new medications, treatments, and changes in the healthcare industry. This may include attending conferences, participating in continuing education, and staying up-to-date on industry publications.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment: The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations. They will also need to properly dispose of expired or unused medications and maintain accurate documentation.
  7. Train and supervise pharmacy staff: The pharmacist may be responsible for training and supervising pharmacy technicians and other support staff. This may include delegating tasks, providing feedback, and ensuring all staff members are adhering to proper procedures.
  8. Foster a positive and welcoming environment: As a representative of USC, the pharmacist should strive to create a positive and welcoming environment for all patients. This may involve actively listening to patient

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited College Of Pharmacy.

  • Active And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacist In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals, Medication Therapy Management, And Drug Interactions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Teams And Patients.
