Welcome to the University of Southern California's Athletic Medicine team! We are seeking a skilled and passionate Massage Therapist to join our dynamic group of healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of our student-athletes. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic and restorative services to our athletes, helping them perform at their best and recover from injuries.   1. Perform massage therapy services for student-athletes at the University of Southern California.
  2. Utilize your expertise in massage therapy to help athletes perform at their best and recover from injuries.
  3. Create customized treatment plans for individual athletes based on their specific needs and injuries.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatments and progress for each athlete.
  5. Work collaboratively with other members of the Athletic Medicine team to provide comprehensive and integrated care for athletes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and research in massage therapy to continually improve the quality of services provided.
  7. Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to each athlete's care.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the practice of massage therapy.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper sanitization of equipment and treatment areas.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with athletes to promote their overall well-being.
  11. Participate in team meetings and educational opportunities to stay informed on the latest developments in athletic medicine and massage therapy.
  12. Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture by actively supporting and assisting colleagues when needed.
  13. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to healthcare services and professional conduct.
  14. Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of massage therapy services and make recommendations for improvements.
  15. Represent the University of Southern California's Athletic Medicine team in a professional and positive manner at all times.

  • Certified Massage Therapist: Candidates For This Job Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Massage Therapist From A Recognized Program Or Institution.

  • Experience In Athletic Medicine: A Background In Working With Athletes And Sports Injuries Is Essential For This Role, As The Massage Therapist Will Be Working Closely With The Athletic Medicine Team To Provide Specialized Care For Student-Athletes.

  • Knowledge Of Injury Prevention And Rehabilitation: The Massage Therapist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Injury Prevention Techniques And Rehabilitation Protocols, As They Will Be Responsible For Helping Athletes Recover From Injuries And Maintaining Their Overall Physical Well-Being.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As Part Of The Athletic Medicine Team, The Massage Therapist Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Coaches, Trainers, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Develop Treatment Plans For Student-Athletes.

  • Understanding Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations: The Massage Therapist Must Have A Working Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations Regarding Student-Athlete Health And Wellness To Ensure Compliance And Provide Appropriate Care Within These Guidelines.
