Job Description

The LAC+USC Medical Center at University of Southern California is seeking a Licensed/Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.   1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients in accordance with best practices and evidence-based methods.
  3. Prescribe and monitor medication regimens for patients with mental health disorders.
  4. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients to address their mental health concerns.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  6. Stay current with advancements in the field of psychiatry and incorporate new techniques and treatments into practice.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
  8. Educate and support patients and their families on mental health disorders and treatment options.
  9. Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the practice of psychiatry.
  11. Contribute to the academic mission of the medical center by participating in research and teaching opportunities.
  12. Promote a positive and respectful work environment by collaborating with colleagues and supporting the overall mission and values of the medical center.
  13. Advocate for patients and their mental health needs within the medical center and the community.
  14. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients, recognizing the importance of cultural sensitivity in delivering care.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided to patients by seeking feedback and implementing best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Psychiatry From The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology.

  • Must Be A Licensed Psychiatrist In The State Of California.

  • Completion Of An Accredited Residency Program In Psychiatry.

  • Eligibility For Medical Staff Privileges At Lac+Usc Medical Center.

  • Demonstrated Experience And Expertise In Providing Psychiatric Care To Diverse Patient Populations, Particularly Those With Severe Mental Illness.
