- Oversee all aspects of catering and private events, ensuring high-quality and memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop innovative and delicious menus for a variety of events, including both small and large-scale gatherings.
- Lead and supervise a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure exceptional performance and output.
- Collaborate with event planners and clients to understand their specific needs and preferences, and ensure that all dietary restrictions and allergies are accommodated.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Manage inventory and ordering of necessary ingredients and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
- Train and develop new kitchen staff members, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Monitor and control food costs, ensuring profitability while maintaining high quality standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation in menu offerings and kitchen operations.

Culinary Degree Or Equivalent Experience: The Executive Sous Chef, Catering And Private Events Position At Usc Requires A Minimum Of A Culinary Degree Or Equivalent Experience In A High-Volume Catering Or Event Setting.
Extensive Culinary Knowledge: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Culinary Techniques, Cuisines, And Trends In Order To Develop And Execute Creative And High-Quality Menus For A Wide Range Of Events.
Leadership And Management Skills: Usc Is Seeking A Candidate With Proven Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Of Sous Chefs, Cooks, And Kitchen Staff. The Executive Sous Chef Will Be Responsible For Training And Developing Team Members, As Well As Maintaining A Positive And Productive Work Environment.
Event Planning And Coordination Experience: The Executive Sous Chef, Catering And Private Events Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Executing A Variety Of Events, From Small Private Dinners To Large-Scale Catering Events. Previous Experience In Event Planning And Execution Is Highly Desirable.
Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Standards: Usc Requires All Candidates To Have A Strong Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Standards, As Well As Experience Implementing And Maintaining These Standards In A High-Volume Kitchen Environment. A Current Servsafe Certification Is Preferred.
