- Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout campus facilities.
- Ensure that all common areas, classrooms, offices, and restrooms are clean, sanitized, and free of hazards.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Assist with waste management and recycling efforts, including proper disposal and sorting of trash and recyclables.
- Implement energy-saving practices and promote sustainable habits among students, faculty, and staff.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all members of the university community.
- Report any damages, malfunctions, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning tasks and supplies used.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to coordinate cleaning and maintenance schedules and address any concerns.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and sustainability practices.
- Take initiative to identify areas that require additional attention and work towards maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Adhere to all university policies and regulations while performing duties.
- Work independently and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and timely completion of responsibilities.
- Uphold the university's mission and values by representing the institution in a positive manner.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Previous Experience In Janitorial Or Custodial Work.
Knowledge Of Proper Cleaning Procedures And The Ability To Use Cleaning Equipment And Chemicals Safely.
Familiarity With Osha Guidelines And Regulations Related To Environmental Services.
