1. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of elevators and escalators on campus to ensure they are functioning properly and meeting safety standards.
2. Perform repairs and troubleshoot any issues that arise with elevator and escalator systems.
3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on elevators and escalators.
4. Communicate effectively with team members and campus staff to schedule maintenance and repairs and minimize disruptions to campus operations.
5. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for elevator and escalator maintenance and repair.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on elevators and escalators.
7. Collaborate with other maintenance and facilities teams to coordinate work and address any related issues.
8. Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide timely and effective solutions.
9. Assist with the installation of new elevator and escalator systems as needed.
10. Keep inventory of necessary parts and equipment and make recommendations for replacements or upgrades.
11. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper disposal of any hazardous materials.
12. Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff by addressing any concerns or questions related to elevators and escalators.
13. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of elevators and escalators and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
14. Train and mentor new elevator maintenance technicians as needed.
