Certified Ekg Technician: The University Of Southern California Requires All Applicants For The Ekg Technician Position To Hold A Certification As An Ekg Technician. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Training And Has The Knowledge And Skills To Perform Noninvasive Cardiac Procedures.
Experience In Noninvasive Cardiology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Noninvasive Cardiac Procedures, Such As Ekgs, Stress Tests, And Holter Monitoring. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Equipment And Procedures Used In A Noninvasive Cardiology Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology: The Ekg Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Anatomy And Physiology Of The Heart. This Includes Knowledge Of The Electrical Conduction System, Cardiac Rhythms, And Common Cardiac Abnormalities.
Attention To Detail: As An Ekg Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Ekg Readings, As Well As Recognize Any Abnormalities That May Require Further Investigation.
