  1. Perform noninvasive diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (EKGs) on patients.
  2. Work closely with the Noninvasive Cardiology team to provide high-quality care to patients.
  3. Utilize strong understanding of EKG technology to accurately interpret and analyze results.
  4. Maintain exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of all procedures.
  5. Help create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients during procedures.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Keep detailed and accurate records of procedures and patient information.
  9. Stay up-to-date on advancements in EKG technology and techniques.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  11. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  13. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of EKG equipment.

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Ekg Technician: The University Of Southern California Requires All Applicants For The Ekg Technician Position To Hold A Certification As An Ekg Technician. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed The Necessary Training And Has The Knowledge And Skills To Perform Noninvasive Cardiac Procedures.

  • Experience In Noninvasive Cardiology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Noninvasive Cardiac Procedures, Such As Ekgs, Stress Tests, And Holter Monitoring. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Equipment And Procedures Used In A Noninvasive Cardiology Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology: The Ekg Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Anatomy And Physiology Of The Heart. This Includes Knowledge Of The Electrical Conduction System, Cardiac Rhythms, And Common Cardiac Abnormalities.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Ekg Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Ekg Readings, As Well As Recognize Any Abnormalities That May Require Further Investigation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ekg Technician Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate Test Results, Provide Patient Education, And Collaborate With The Healthcare Team.
