Job Description

  1. Oversee the maintenance and operations of all campus facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans for the upkeep and improvement of campus facilities, in line with the university's mission and values.
  3. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes, and implement proactive measures to maintain a safe and secure environment for all members of the university community.
  4. Manage a team of facility staff and contractors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and university stakeholders to identify and address facility needs and concerns.
  6. Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
  7. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify any maintenance or repair needs and address them promptly.
  8. Implement and oversee sustainable practices and initiatives to promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally friendly operations.
  9. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in facility management, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades as appropriate.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the university and external contractors and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality workmanship.
  11. Foster a culture of excellent customer service and responsiveness, addressing any facility-related issues or concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  12. Represent the university in meetings and committees related to facility management, and provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership.
  13. Uphold the university's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the campus community.
  14. Adhere to all university policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to facility management.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve facility management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Facilities Management, Architecture, Engineering, Or Business Administration.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Facilities Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Industry Standards Related To Facilities Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
