
Chart Auditor

- Conduct thorough and accurate audits of medical records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Analyze and interpret medical data to identify potential errors or discrepancies and communicate findings to appropriate parties
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to gather necessary information for audits and address any issues or concerns
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and coding to assess the completeness and accuracy of documentation
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in coding and documentation guidelines
- Maintain organized records and documentation of audit findings and resolutions
- Provide guidance and support to healthcare providers and staff on proper documentation and coding practices
- Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and assist in implementing necessary changes or improvements
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and implement process improvements for better record keeping and compliance
- Work independently and efficiently to meet audit deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Chart Auditing, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center Setting.
Knowledge Of Coding And Billing Guidelines, Including Icd-10 And Cpt Coding Systems.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Providers And Other Stakeholders.
