
Assistant Athletic Director of Human Resources

- Develop and implement effective human resources strategies and policies for the athletic department to support the overall goals and objectives of the University.
- Collaborate with coaches and staff to understand their needs and provide guidance and support on HR-related matters, including recruitment, training and development, performance management, and employee relations.
- Serve as a liaison between the athletic department and the central HR department, ensuring compliance with all University policies and procedures.
- Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and offboarding.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process for all athletic department staff, including coaches, trainers, and administrative personnel.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and performance standards for all positions within the athletic department.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR and make recommendations for continuous improvement within the athletic department.
- Collaborate with the compliance department to ensure all employment practices are in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy laws.
- Serve as a resource for coaches and staff on compensation and benefits-related questions and concerns.
- Conduct regular trainings and workshops on HR-related topics for coaches and staff to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Act as a role model for the University's values and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the athletic department.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for enhancing the overall employee experience.
- Collaborate with other departments within the University to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Athletic Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws And Regulations, Including Title Ix And Ncaa Compliance.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Group Of Employees, Coaches, And Administrators.
Experience In Recruitment, Training, And Performance Management, As Well As Experience With Hris And Other Hr Technology Systems.
