  1. Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in data sciences and operations to students at the University of Southern California.
  2. Develop course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments, that align with the learning objectives and standards of the university.
  3. Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the field of data sciences and operations, and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  4. Provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of experience.
  5. Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in students through interactive and engaging classroom activities.
  6. Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, group work, and hands-on activities, to cater to different learning styles.
  7. Communicate regularly with students and provide timely feedback on their progress and performance.
  8. Hold office hours and be available for individual student consultations and mentoring.
  9. Collaborate with other faculty members and university staff to participate in curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
  10. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, grades, and other relevant data.
  11. Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  12. Adhere to university policies and procedures, including academic integrity and code of conduct.
  13. Represent the university and the data sciences and operations department in a professional and positive manner.
  14. Actively participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain students in the data sciences and operations program.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and course content based on student feedback and self-reflection.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Data Science, Operations Research, Or A Related Field

  • Extensive Experience In Industry Or Research In Data Analytics, Operations Management, Or Supply Chain Management

  • Demonstrated Teaching Experience At The University Level, Preferably In The Field Of Data Sciences And Operations

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Students From Diverse Backgrounds

  • Proven Ability To Design And Deliver Innovative Curriculum And Engage Students In Hands-On Learning Experiences Related To Data Sciences And Operations.
