  1. Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lectures, seminars, and workshops on various topics in urban planning.
  2. Create and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, in line with the latest developments and best practices in the field.
  3. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students.
  4. Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work, and maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
  5. Be available for office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Stay current with advancements in urban planning through continued research and professional development.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and ensure consistency across courses.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings and committees, and contribute to the overall academic and administrative goals of the department.
  9. Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional pursuits.
  10. Contribute to the university's research efforts by conducting independent research and publishing scholarly work in relevant journals.
  11. Represent the university and the department at relevant conferences, seminars, and other academic events.
  12. Adhere to all university policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity, diversity, and inclusion.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Mentor Students.

  • Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Urban Planning Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Professional Experience In The Field Of Urban Planning, With A Focus On The Southern California Region.

  • Proven Experience Teaching Urban Planning Courses At The University Level.

  • Knowledge Of Current Trends And Issues In Urban Planning, As Well As Relevant Software And Technology Used In The Field.
