In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our payroll office, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our employees.We are looking for candidates who have a strong background in payroll processing and a proven track record of leadership.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the payroll office, including managing a team of payroll specialists and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Ensure all payroll processes comply with state and federal regulations, as well as university policies and procedures.
  3. Process and review payroll data, including employee information, hours worked, and deductions, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Manage payroll schedules and deadlines, ensuring all payments are made on time and any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and finance, to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data and payroll-related changes.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service to employees, answering any questions or concerns related to payroll and resolving any issues that may arise.
  7. Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the university remains compliant with any changes.
  8. Analyze payroll data and prepare reports for management, identifying any trends or issues that may require attention.
  9. Train and mentor new payroll staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  10. Assist with special projects and initiatives related to payroll, such as implementing new systems or processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Payroll Processing And Administration.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Payroll Regulations And Laws.

  • Experience With Payroll Software And Systems, Such As Adp Or Workday.
