- Provide comprehensive wound care services to patients in accordance with evidence-based practices and UPMC standards of care.
- Travel to different UPMC clinics to ensure consistent and high-quality wound care for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, research data, and outcomes.
- Serve as a resource and educator for patients, families, and staff on wound care and research findings.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to provide updates on research progress and patient care.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Stay current on industry developments, trends, and best practices related to wound care and research.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development through participation in training programs and conferences.
Current Rn And Nurse Practitioner License: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Current And Active Rn And Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of Pennsylvania.
Clinical Research Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Conducting And Managing Clinical Research Studies, Preferably In The Field Of Wound Care.
Advanced Wound Care Certification: A Certification In Advanced Wound Care, Such As Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Nursing (Wocn) Or Certified Wound Specialist (Cws), Is Preferred For This Position.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Flexibility And Willingness To Travel: As A Traveling Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner, The Candidate Should Be Willing To Travel To Various Upmc Wound Care Clinics Throughout The Region, Requiring Flexibility In Their Schedule.
