  1. Conducting thorough market research and developing sourcing strategies to identify potential vendors for goods and services needed by the university.
  2. Collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and develop appropriate procurement plans.
  3. Negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure the best value for the university while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  4. Managing the entire procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  5. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all procurement activities and contracts.
  6. Ensuring compliance with university policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the procurement process.
  7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  8. Continuously monitoring vendor performance and making recommendations for improvements or changes when necessary.
  9. Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Staying informed about industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement to make informed decisions.
  11. Providing training and support to other team members and university staff on procurement processes and procedures.
  12. Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments to vendors.
  13. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to reduce procurement costs.
  14. Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  15. Representing the university in a professional and positive manner in all interactions with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Procurement, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Procurement Processes, Procedures, And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Attention To Detail And Time Management Skills.
