- Develop and implement comprehensive communications and programming strategies for the University of Pittsburgh, in line with the institution's mission and values.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the university's communications and programming initiatives, including but not limited to print, digital, and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with various university departments, faculty, and staff to gather and disseminate information to effectively communicate the university's achievements, initiatives, and events.
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the university, responding to media inquiries and representing the institution at external events and conferences.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications and programming, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation within the university.
- Manage a team of communications and programming professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, community partners, and other universities, to enhance the university's reputation and reach.
- Create and manage the university's annual communications and programming budget, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Conduct research and gather data to measure the impact and effectiveness of communications and programming efforts, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve strategies.
- Represent the university's communications and programming department in various committees and meetings, providing valuable insights and contributing to the overall success of the institution.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Communications, Marketing, Or Programming, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Information To Various Audiences.
Excellent Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
Experience With Event Planning And Execution, Including Coordinating Logistics And Managing Budgets.
