- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy for the university, in alignment with the overall mission and goals of the organization.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of all technology infrastructure and systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technology trends and make recommendations for their integration into the university's programs and services.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance the educational experience and support the research goals of faculty and students.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the technology team, ensuring that all projects and initiatives are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage the department budget, making strategic decisions to allocate resources effectively.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the university's technology and education departments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external technology partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources.
- Develop and implement training programs for faculty, staff, and students to enhance their technology skills and promote the effective use of technology in the educational setting.
- Collaborate with other university leaders to develop and implement policies and procedures related to information security and data privacy.
- Serve as a spokesperson and representative for the university's technology initiatives and programs, both internally and externally.
- Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to technology and education, and ensure compliance within the university.
- Act as a mentor and coach to members of the technology and education teams, promoting professional development and growth.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the university as a member of the leadership team.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of technology and education programs and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Education, Organizational Development, Or Business Administration.
Extensive Experience In Leading And Managing Education And Development Programs, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Best Practices In Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, And Adult Learning Principles.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Staff, And Students.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Present And Facilitate Workshops And Training Sessions.
