
Surgical Pathology Technician
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking an experienced Surgical Pathology Technician to join our world-class pathology team. This position requires an individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills who is motivated to provide the highest level of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology, excellent laboratory skills, and be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. The Surgical Pathology Technician will be responsible for providing technical support for our pathology laboratory, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results.The successful candidate will possess:• A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and the ability to work with specimens and tissue samples• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and standard laboratory instrumentsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
