  1. Perform diagnostic tests and procedures on laboratory animals, including blood work, urinalysis, and imaging techniques.
  2. Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of test results to researchers and other relevant parties.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all diagnostic procedures and results.
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques and protocols.
  5. Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of laboratory animals, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Collaborate with other ULAR staff to ensure proper care and treatment of animals.
  7. Adhere to all animal welfare regulations and guidelines set by the university and relevant governing bodies.
  8. Assist with the training and supervision of junior staff members and students.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
  11. Communicate effectively with researchers, veterinarians, and other team members to ensure the highest quality of animal care.
  12. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  13. Act as an ambassador for the university and promote a positive image of ULAR and its mission.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  15. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall improvement and development of ULAR services.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Chemistry, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls)

  • Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment, Including Proficiency With Laboratory Information Systems

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team In A Fast-Paced Environment.
