
Temporary Events Manager

- Plan and execute a variety of events for the University of Pennsylvania campus community.
- Work closely with the event planning team to develop event concepts, themes, and timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other event partners to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure events stay within budget.
- Communicate effectively with event participants, stakeholders, and team members to ensure all details and expectations are met.
- Create and distribute event invitations, marketing materials, and other communications.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, setup, and breakdown.
- Provide on-site event management and support, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for all events, including attendance numbers and feedback.
- Continuously evaluate and improve event planning processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments and organizations to promote and cross-promote events.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event planning.
- Ensure events are in line with University standards and policies.
- Train and supervise event staff and volunteers.
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Event Planning, Hospitality Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Event Management, Preferably In A University Or Large-Scale Event Setting.
Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Meet Tight Deadlines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Students, Staff, And External Vendors.
Proficiency In Event Management Software And Technology, Such As Cvent Or Eventbrite, As Well As Experience With Budget Management And Marketing/Promotion Strategies.
