Job Description

Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania's Sport Club program, where we strive to provide students with opportunities to engage in their passions and foster a sense of community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sport Club Coach to join our team and guide our student athletes to success. As a coach, you will have the unique opportunity to mentor and develop student leaders while also promoting a culture of excellence and sportsmanship. If you have a passion for coaching, a strong understanding of the sport, and a desire to make a positive impact on our student athletes, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.

  1. Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies for the assigned sport club team.
  2. Create a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship and fosters a sense of community among student athletes.
  3. Mentor and develop student leaders within the sport club team, providing guidance and support for their personal and athletic growth.
  4. Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to ensure a cohesive and successful overall sports program.
  5. Attend and oversee all practices, games, and other team events, providing instruction and feedback to student athletes.
  6. Communicate regularly with team members, providing updates, schedules, and other important information.
  7. Monitor and maintain student athlete academic eligibility and overall well-being, providing resources and support as needed.
  8. Manage team budget and equipment inventory, ensuring responsible and efficient use of resources.
  9. Serve as a role model for student athletes, promoting a strong work ethic, dedication, and a positive attitude.
  10. Stay up-to-date with current coaching techniques and strategies, and continuously strive to improve coaching skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Coaching Experience At The Collegiate Level.

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Sports Management Or Exercise Science.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Team Management And Development.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Motivate And Inspire Athletes.
