- Develop and implement external relations strategy for the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the region, including community organizations, businesses, and government agencies.
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities to enhance the reputation and visibility of the Wharton School.
- Represent the Wharton School at events and conferences, serving as a spokesperson for the institution.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the school to ensure alignment and consistency in external messaging and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze regional trends and developments to inform external relations strategy and decision-making.
- Develop and manage a budget for external affairs activities in the region.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for media coverage and public relations initiatives to promote the Wharton School.
- Lead and mentor a team of external affairs professionals to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other regional directors and the central external affairs team to share best practices and coordinate efforts across regions.
- Stay current on industry best practices and innovative approaches to external relations and implement them as appropriate.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania positively at all times.
