Look no further than Rebel Ventures, an innovative after school program at the University of Pennsylvania!As a Group Leader, you will have the opportunity to guide and inspire middle school students from the West Philadelphia community in pursuing their passions and developing valuable life skills. With Rebel Ventures, you will not only be a role model and mentor, but also a collaborator and facilitator in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.We are seeking individuals who possess strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to empowering youth through hands-on experiences.   1. Lead and facilitate a group of middle school students in the Rebel Ventures after school program at the University of Pennsylvania.
  2. Serve as a role model and mentor to students, demonstrating passion, creativity, and energy in all aspects of the program.
  3. Collaborate with fellow Group Leaders and program staff to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for students.
  4. Guide and inspire students in pursuing their passions and interests, helping them develop valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
  5. Plan and facilitate engaging and hands-on activities and projects that align with the program's mission and goals.
  6. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for students, encouraging them to explore their potential and take risks in their learning.
  7. Build relationships with students and their families, providing regular communication and feedback on their progress and development.
  8. Uphold and enforce program rules and safety protocols to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
  9. Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve and enhance leadership skills.
  10. Embody the values of creativity, diversity, and community in all interactions with students, staff, and community members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working With Youth In An Educational Or Community Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Group Of Students.

  • Knowledge Of Nutrition And Healthy Food Choices, As Well As Experience In Planning And Implementing Nutrition Education Activities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With School Staff, Community Partners, And Parents/Guardians.
