  1. Assist in the daily operations of the on-campus pharmacy.
  2. Provide support to the pharmacy department and team members.
  3. Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
  4. Maintain inventory levels and restock medications as needed.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  8. Keep accurate records and documentation of medication dispensing and transactions.
  9. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.
  10. Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.
  11. Handle cash and credit transactions in a professional and accurate manner.
  12. Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements.
  13. Attend and actively participate in department meetings and trainings.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and customer service.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For The Position Would Be A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Perform The Duties Of A Pharmacy Assistant.

  • Attention To Detail: Pharmacy Assistants Are Responsible For Handling And Organizing Medication, Counting Pills, And Labeling Prescriptions. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role To Ensure That The Correct Medication And Dosage Are Dispensed To Patients.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The University Of Pennsylvania's Pharmacy Is A Busy And Fast-Paced Environment. As A Part-Time Temporary Pharmacy Assistant, One Would Be Expected To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Pressure To Meet The Needs Of Patients And Pharmacists.
