- Facilitate a welcoming and inclusive community within the residential houses at the University of Pennsylvania.
- Create and implement programs and initiatives that promote a positive living experience for students.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, faculty, and staff within the residential houses.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for residents, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other university departments to coordinate events and activities for residents.
- Maintain and update records and databases related to the residential houses and student residents.
- Communicate important information and updates to residents in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures within the residential houses.
- Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Serve as a role model for students, promoting a positive and inclusive living environment.
- Train and supervise resident advisors and other staff members within the residential houses.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in student development and residential life.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental and university meetings and events.
- Uphold the values and mission of the University of Pennsylvania in all interactions and responsibilities.
- Continuously strive to create a positive and enriching experience for students living in the residential houses.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Social Work, Counseling, Or Higher Education Administration.
Previous Experience In Student Affairs Or Residential Life, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Groups Of Students, Staff, And Faculty.
Knowledge Of And Commitment To Promoting Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Within A University Setting.
Organizational Skills And The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Priorities, Including Budget Management And Event Planning.
