  1. Develop and implement comprehensive communications and outreach strategies that align with the university's mission and goals.
  2. Oversee all aspects of the university's communication efforts, including media relations, social media, website content, and print materials.
  3. Manage a team of communication professionals and provide guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries and proactively cultivate relationships with key media outlets.
  5. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify and prioritize communication and outreach needs.
  6. Develop and maintain a strong brand identity for the university, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in communication and outreach, and make recommendations for improvement.
  8. Plan and execute events and initiatives to engage and connect with the university community and external stakeholders.
  9. Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  10. Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity in all communication and outreach efforts.
  11. Develop and manage budgets for communication and outreach activities.
  12. Act as a spokesperson for the university when necessary.
  13. Collaborate with the university's leadership team to ensure communication efforts align with the overall vision and goals of the institution.
  14. Handle crisis communication and manage any potential reputational risks.
  15. Represent the university at conferences, events, and other external engagements to promote the institution and its values.
  16. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, and community members.
  17. Continuously evaluate and improve communication and outreach strategies to enhance the university's reputation and impact.
  18. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the communications and outreach team.
  19. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all communication and outreach efforts.
  20. Act as a role model for the university's values and promote a culture of excellence and innovation.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Communications And Outreach, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Oversee A Team And Collaborate With Various Departments.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With A Demonstrated Ability To Craft Compelling Messages And Engage Diverse Audiences.

  • Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Communications And Outreach, Including Digital And Social Media Strategies.
