  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations and programming of the university's aquatic facilities.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols and procedures for all aquatic activities.
  3. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  4. Train and supervise a team of lifeguards and other aquatic staff.
  5. Create and maintain schedules for aquatic facility usage and staff shifts.
  6. Manage the budget for aquatics and safety operations, including purchasing and inventory management.
  7. Collaborate with other university departments and organizations to plan and execute aquatic events and programs.
  8. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintenance checks of equipment and facilities.
  9. Communicate and enforce all university policies related to aquatics and safety.
  10. Provide guidance and support to students, faculty, and staff regarding aquatic activities and safety concerns.
  11. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance of aquatic facilities.
  12. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in aquatics and safety.
  13. Serve as a role model for the university's values and promote a positive and inclusive culture within the aquatics department.
  14. Participate in department meetings and strategic planning sessions.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the university administration.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Recreation, Sports Management, Or Physical Education.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role In Aquatics Or Safety Programs.

  • Certification In Lifeguarding, Cpr, First Aid, And Aed.

  • Knowledge Of Pool Maintenance, Risk Management, And Safety Protocols.
