- Contribute to the development and implementation of library programs and initiatives related to chemistry.
- Conduct literature searches and compile bibliographies for chemistry-related research projects.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of digital resources, such as online guides and tutorials, for the chemistry department.
- Participate in library outreach activities, including orientations and workshops, to promote library services and resources to the chemistry department.
- Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of library services and resources for the chemistry department.
- Keep up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of chemistry and library sciences.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with library staff, students, and faculty in a professional and courteous manner.
- Adhere to all library policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patron information and library materials.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chemistry Librarian or library administration.
A Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Foundation In Chemistry And Related Subjects In Order To Effectively Assist Students And Faculty With Research And Reference Inquiries.
Knowledge Of Library Systems And Resources: Familiarity With Library Databases, Cataloging Systems, And Digital Resources Is Essential For A Chemistry Library Intern To Efficiently Navigate Through The Vast Array Of Information And Materials Available.
