  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of building maintenance for the University of Pennsylvania's campus facilities.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure the timely and effective upkeep of all campus buildings.
  3. Maintain a safe and functional environment for students, faculty, and staff by identifying and addressing any maintenance or safety issues.
  4. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and efficient use of resources.
  5. Monitor and manage the budget for building maintenance, ensuring that all expenses are within the allocated funds.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to address any building maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or renovations.
  7. Conduct regular inspections of campus buildings to identify any maintenance needs and address them in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance activities, including work orders, budget reports, and inventory.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations related to building maintenance to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  10. Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic among the maintenance staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Building Maintenance Or A Related Field, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills With The Ability To Supervise And Train A Team Of Maintenance Staff.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Building Systems And Equipment, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Security Systems.

  • Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Effectively Communicate With Staff, Faculty, And Students.
