- Oversee and manage all aspects of facilities operations, including maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources, including budget, staff, and equipment.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that facilities meet the needs and expectations of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, and develop protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary supplies, equipment, and services for facilities operations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement within the facilities department and across the university.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facilities management, and make recommendations for improvements and innovations.
- Represent the university in meetings and negotiations with external vendors and service providers.
- Prepare and present regular reports on facilities operations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate special projects and events related to facilities management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all facilities operations.
- Uphold the values and standards of the university and promote a positive image of the institution.
Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In Facilities Operations, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Sustainability Practices.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Lead A Team.
Experience Managing Budgets, Contracts, And Vendors For Facility Maintenance And Construction Projects.
