  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive donor relations strategy to cultivate and steward relationships with current and potential donors.
  2. Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects through personalized engagement and relationship-building techniques.
  3. Collaborate with other fundraising professionals to identify and prioritize fundraising opportunities and strategies.
  4. Conduct research and data analysis to identify new prospects and evaluate current donor engagement strategies.
  5. Create and maintain a donor recognition and stewardship program, ensuring that donors are appropriately recognized and engaged at all levels.
  6. Oversee the planning and execution of donor events, including cultivation events, stewardship events, and recognition events.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors, serving as a primary point of contact and resource for their philanthropic interests.
  8. Work closely with academic and administrative departments to align donor interests with funding opportunities and impact reporting.
  9. Collaborate with the communications team to develop fundraising materials and donor stewardship communications.
  10. Utilize fundraising software and databases to track donor interactions, manage donor relationships, and evaluate fundraising progress.
  11. Continuously monitor and assess donor relations strategies, making recommendations for improvement and adapting to changing donor needs and interests.
  12. Represent the University of Pennsylvania and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at events and conferences, promoting the institution's philanthropic goals and initiatives.
  13. Provide guidance and support to other fundraising staff and volunteers to ensure effective donor engagement and stewardship practices.
  14. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in donor relations and fundraising to inform and enhance strategies and techniques.
  15. Support the overall fundraising goals and mission of the University of Pennsylvania by actively participating in development team meetings, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Communications, Marketing, Or Nonprofit Management.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Donor Relations Or Fundraising, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Donors, Colleagues, And University Leadership.

  • Knowledge Of Fundraising Strategies And Best Practices, Including Donor Stewardship And Recognition.

  • Experience Managing A Team And Overseeing Multiple Projects Simultaneously, With A Track Record Of Meeting Fundraising Goals.
