- Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures in alignment with the University of Pennsylvania's values and mission.
- Oversee all aspects of the HR function for the School of Biomedical Sciences, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the school's leadership team, providing guidance and support on all HR matters.
- Act as a liaison between the school and the University's central HR department, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, and students to understand their needs and provide effective HR support.
- Manage a team of HR professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Lead the school's diversity and inclusion initiatives, working to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all employees and students.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HR, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments within the school to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to HR processes and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and confidential manner.
- Oversee the annual performance review process and provide guidance and training to managers and employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of HR data and metrics to support decision-making by the school's leadership team.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the school's HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Act as a resource and advocate for employees, providing guidance and support on career development, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In A Leadership Or Managerial Role.
Strong Understanding Of Employment Laws And Regulations, Particularly Within The Higher Education Industry.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Hr Policies, Procedures, And Programs.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders.
