- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of sponsored projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with university and sponsor policies, regulations, and guidelines related to financial administration of grants and contracts.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and project teams to develop and monitor project budgets, and provide financial guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve expenses related to sponsored projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets and sponsor guidelines.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to sponsors in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor and reconcile project expenditures, identify and resolve any discrepancies, and communicate any budgetary concerns to project teams and university leadership.
- Serve as a resource for faculty and staff regarding financial administration of sponsored projects, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and policies related to sponsored projects financial administration, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as research administration and accounting, to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial administration of sponsored projects.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new policies, procedures, and systems related to sponsored projects financial administration.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions and reports for sponsored projects.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and university policies.
- Support the university's efforts to maintain a strong reputation for responsible financial management of sponsored projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or university leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Grant And Contract Financial Administration, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Federal, State, And Private Funding Regulations And Compliance Requirements.
Excellent Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Complex Financial Data.
Demonstrated Experience Managing And Overseeing Grant And Contract Budgets, Including Forecasting And Reporting.
