Job Description

As an integral member of our department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our institution.   1. Perform complex accounting tasks and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  2. Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  5. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
  6. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, university policies, and legal requirements.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
  9. Provide support for external audits and assist with providing necessary information and documentation.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including departmental managers, vendors, and auditors.
  11. Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices.
  12. Act as a resource for colleagues and assist with training and mentoring new team members.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the accounting department.
  15. Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the supervisor or department head.

Job Qualifications
