We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President for Diversity Initiatives & Chief Diversity Officer.   1. Develop and implement strategic initiatives and policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of the university.
  2. Serve as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, advocating for and promoting understanding and acceptance of diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
  3. Collaborate with university leadership and stakeholders to establish and achieve diversity goals and objectives.
  4. Provide leadership and guidance to university departments and committees to ensure diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of campus life.
  5. Develop and implement training and educational programs to promote diversity and cultural competency among faculty, staff, and students.
  6. Serve as a resource and advisor to university leadership on diversity and inclusion matters, providing recommendations and insights on best practices.
  7. Foster a welcoming and inclusive campus climate for all members of the university community, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  8. Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote diversity and inclusivity both on and off campus.
  9. Conduct research and analysis on diversity and inclusion issues in higher education and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Lead and support recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
  11. Collaborate with the university's marketing and communication teams to promote the university's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  12. Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives at the university, both internally and externally.
  13. Stay current on trends and best practices in diversity and inclusion and incorporate them into university policies and programs.
  14. Develop and manage budgets and resources related to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  15. Create and maintain a culture of inclusivity and respect, ensuring that all members of the university community feel valued and supported.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Developing And Implementing Diversity Initiatives In A Higher Education Setting, Preferably At A Large And Diverse Institution.

  • Demonstrated Success In Promoting And Fostering A Culture Of Inclusivity And Equity Within An Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Relevant Laws And Regulations.

  • Proven Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Build And Manage A Diverse Team, Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, And Communicate Effectively With All Levels Of The University Community.

  • Advanced Degree In A Related Field, Such As Higher Education Administration, Sociology, Or Cultural Studies, And A Commitment To Ongoing Professional Development In The Area Of Diversity And Inclusion.
