Business Development Advisor

This position is intended to assist a multi-faceted program in the outlying areas of Southern Nevada. he Advisor will be responsible for contributing to business starts, the creation of jobs, and capital formation for clients. The Advisor assists in all aspects of owning, managing, and operating a small business and includes those that are experiencing difficulties. The Advisor provides expertise for the purpose of business survival and job retention. This position is responsible for specific client outcomes as designated annually by the Small Business Administration and the host institution. These outcomes are part of a statewide mandate of business starts, long-term clients, and economic impact. The Advisor will assist clients with counseling, education and development and will work in tandem with the UNLV Office of Economic Development and other programs of the Nevada SBDC to capitalize on the existing resources and partnerships while continuously seeking new resources and partnerships.
