  1. Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Anthropology, including but not limited to introductory courses, specialized courses, and seminars.
  2. Create and deliver engaging and innovative lectures, discussions, and activities that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of human culture and behavior.
  3. Mentor and advise students, providing support and guidance in their academic and professional pursuits.
  4. Conduct and publish original research in the field of Anthropology, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the discipline.
  5. Participate in departmental and university committee work, and contribute to the overall academic community through service and outreach.
  6. Stay current with developments and advancements in the field of Anthropology, and incorporate new perspectives and methodologies into teaching and research.
  7. Collaborate and exchange ideas with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.
  8. Engage with the local community and participate in public outreach events to promote the value of Anthropology and its relevance in today's world.
  9. Maintain a high standard of professionalism and commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
  10. Fulfill administrative duties as assigned, such as grading, course planning, and attending departmental meetings.
  11. Strive to create an inclusive and diverse learning environment that welcomes and supports students from all backgrounds.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance teaching and research skills.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of the University of Michigan and serve as a positive representative of the Anthropology department.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Anthropology Or A Closely Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Teaching Experience At The College Or University Level.

  • A Strong Research Background With A Record Of Publications In Reputable Journals.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In One Or More Subfields Of Anthropology, Such As Cultural, Biological, Or Linguistic Anthropology.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Engage And Inspire Students From Diverse Backgrounds.
